Aug. 17: Critter Catch, Book Presentation, Concert

1. The Jacques Cousteau Coastal Education Center is holding Critter Catch from 10 to 11 a.m. at 130 Great Bay Boulevard in Tuckerton. Learn the old world fishing technique of seining.

2. If you’ve had problems with purchases or an unreliable repairman, a representative from the Ocean County Consumer Affairs Department will be available at the County Connection in Toms River to assist from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

3. Richard Morgan will be giving a poetry presentation at the library at 1 p.m. based on his second book Sea Glass People: Portraits in Words and Watercolors.

4. The Pirates will be showing at Boardwalk and Parkway in Point Pleasant Beach at dark.

5. The Stampinato Brothers will be playing at the Ocean County Library’s 2012 Carousel of Music at 7 p.m. in Toms River.
