April 16: Easter Bunny, Drumming Show, and a Benefit Concert

Events in and around Lacey Township

1.     There is a U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 79 lecture on boating safety from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Community Hall. Students will take a test for their N.J. State Boating Safety Certificate. Temporary boating certificates will be provided until permanent certificates are received. Admission is $50 and includes lunch.

2.     Children can enjoy breakfast with the Easter Bunny at the Ocean County Mall from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. There will be a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny as well. Admission is $5 for members and $10 for non-members. Registration is required so call ahead to see if there is space available. All net proceeds benefit the Simon Youth Foundation. 3.     There is an estate sale at 9 Surrey Court in Forked River from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

4.     There is an African Dinner and Drumming Show from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Forked River Presbyterian Church on North Main Street in Forked River. Admission is $20 for adults and $12 for children 15 years old and under. For more information call 609-693-5624.

5.     The Garden State Philharmonic performs a benefit concert in honor of fallen Lakewood Police officer Chris Matlosz, Everybody Loves Ludwig, at the historic Strand Theater in Lakewood at 8PM, with an evening of Beethoven’s greatest music.
