April 14: Culinary Secrets, Autism Awareness, and Kindergarten Orientation

Events in and around Lacey Township

1.     There is an Ocean of Love Benefit Carnival featuring Campy's Blue Star Amusements at Ocean County Mall. Ticket sheets are available at Ocean of Love’s offices at 1709 Route 37 in Toms River at 50 percent off. Ocean of Love receives 22 percent of the proceeds from those sales. Full sheets of 50 tickets cost $25. Half sheets of 25 tickets are available at $12.50. For more information call 732-270-3500.

2.     The Ocean County Women’s Connection is hosting the “Top Secrets of the Chef’s Breakfast” at the Holiday Inn on Route 37 in Toms River from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The event features Michael Zagarella, the executive chef of Hemingway’s in Seaside Heights. Zagarella will share his culinary secrets along with New Hampshire’s Pamela Cahill who will offer advice on overcoming fears in the kitchen. For more information call 732-244-1701.

3.     The Executive Networking Alliance is holing their third annual Autism awareness fundraiser at the Sea Oaks Golf Club in Little Egg Harbor at 5 p.m. All proceeds benefit local children afflicted with Autism through Autism New Jersey and FACES Autism Support Network. Admission is $50 per person and includes dinner, drinks, and a live auction.

4.     The Lacey Township School District Annual Kindergarten Orientation will take place at the high school at 7 p.m. All parents of incoming kindergarten students are invited.

5.     There is township committee meeting at 7 p.m.
