The Morning Call For Southern Ocean County - August 15, 2013

We deserve a break after the violent weather earlier this week. The next few days will be cool, almost like early fall.

Today - The National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies with a high near 76 degrees. Winds will be from the northwest at 5 to 7 miles per hour, becoming west in the afternoon.

Tonight - Mostly clear with low near 58 egrees. Winds will be from the south at 5 to 7 miles per hour, becoming light and variable.

Friday - Sunny with a high near 78 degrees. Winds will be light and variable, becoming south at 5 to 7 miles per hour in the morning.

Things to Do:

• Come and watch democracy in action at the Lacey Township Committee. The regular meeting kicks off at 7 p.m. in Town Hall on Lacey Road.

Shark Week! Come to a "Jawsome" party at the Lacey branch of the Ocean County Library at 7 p.m. Celebrate the Discovery Channel's Shark Wee with snacks, crafts and games. For ages 13 to 18.
