As the East Coast prepares for Hurricane Sandy over the last few days, the reality of the storm situation really hit today. The East Coast is uncertain as to what to expect over the course of the next few days. However, Sunday afternoon the preview of what is to come is just the beginning. Parts of Ocean County NJ are already flooding and this is the calm before the storm.
Conditions have heightened over the past few hours, with thousands already under mandatory evacuation and thousands waiting to determine if they are the next to go. Shelters already full tonight and evacuations are not completed at this hour. Wind gusts upwards of 50 miles an hour already reported and rain falling as the calm before the storm draws to an end, leading up to the main event... the arrival of Hurricane Sandy tomorrow evening. Noticeable flooding already devastating the East Coast.
See my pics around Ocean County NJ this afternoon do not even begin to describe the devastation that has already transpired at this early in the game.
