Lacey roads are packed with leaves and small twigs. Areas near lagoons or the bay are flooding. Streets off of Beach Boulevard are already inundated.

The Barnegat Bay appears to be rough, slapping boats and pouring over lagoons.

As of 11 a.m. cars were still traveling on the main corridors of Lacey Township. Police are seen out on the roads as well.

Residents were still stopping in Walmart and ShopRite for some last minute shopping. ShopRite has run out of ice and bread is low. Neither store were sure when they would cease operation. Home Depot has closed.

"I'm a little worried," said Dana Boos, who was shopping in Walmart. "It's a little rough already."

Boos, with three boys at home since schools closed, was filling her cart with water and non-perishables such as cereal and chips.

"They've been eating everything already," she said.

Boos spent much of Sunday preparing for the storm by putting outside lawn equipment away, filling her bathtub and five gallon sport containers with water and coolers with ice. The family also secured their boat.

Larissa Flurry was doing the same in ShopRite. Although she did some shopping prior to Hurricane Sandy, she's picking up some additional items that will "last."

"Chili goes a long way," she said.

Flurry lives just outside of an evacuation zone in Lacey and chose to stay due to her pets.

"We paid for flood insurance because we had to. We're just shy of what's considered a high risk area," she said. "We're taking our chances. This is a storm unlike anything we've ever seen. We're just riding it out."

Looking for status of lagoon lots in SunRise beach. Did water come up over bulkheads and to what extent? Were houses flooded?
