Looking for Gas in Ocean County?

An interactive map shows residents where they can fuel up.

As many Ocean County residents move into their fourth day without power, keeping those generators humming is becoming difficult as few gas stations are open.

The New Jersey Office of Emergency Management released a list on Thursday of working gas stations in the state, which a New Brunswick architectural firm morphed into an interactive map with addresses.

But that doesn't mean you won't be facing long lines and short tempers when you get there, as people jostle to score fuel for some power at home.

Find a Wawa that is opening. Set your alarm clock for about 230 in the morning and go. You will be one of the only people in there.

People, you have got to change you're routine to survive. There is no more going to bed at 10pm as normal and doing everything in daylight hours. Shop and gas when you can in the wee hours when the rest are a sleep.

I was there yesterday at 530 right after I heard they were open n selling gas but I'm pretty sure they still are, only 2-3 cars at ea pump. Talking about Exxon at Bay and Fisher blvd in Toms river. Between hooper ave and rt 37 in case anyone's new to area. Just in case the 2 wawas on those have long lines. From what I've heard hooper ave wawa has longer lines than 37 and Garfield. When I called the Garfield one she has to make sure they had gas since there were NO cars around 1130 am the 2nd and they do. Good luck! If you need try hard to get before getting on parkway bc all but the one wo gas are mobbed to move around in I just heard.
