This town is falling apart. Everyday there is a posting about the Drug problem in this town. I do have to say, it has been very nice to see more police patrolling the area and sitting taking radar, etc. I have noticed a huge difference since the Holidays. The people these drug dealers are affecting are our children. Teens are so impressionable and think nothing will happen to them. They're wrong. If they get laced drugs that will be a huge problem and it's not only Marijuana that's on the streets.

Helloooo I have been here since 78 and this is nothing new. Drugs have been in this town a LONG time. It is just now the blinders are coming off and people are realizing, YES is does happen in Lacey also. This town is a big heroin town wake up, pot is the least of the problem.

I have to agree with you Steve...no 17 year old has $10,000.00 in his trunk for purchase of marajuana for personal use. They were obviously investigating because the situation was about more than his personal use. And no, drugs are not a new problem, nor are the consequences of habitual drug use/abuse. I am just glad that we are paying more attention to this problem.

I'm sure he earned that money working at an honest job and was hiding it in his trunk so he could surprise his parents with a cruise around the world...So quik to judge

Wow another pot bust. I want to see a post on here with a percentage of people who have died from Dope and people who have died from pot in Lacey. Spending too many resources on a almost obsolete "drug" rather then searching for the real thing.

Who were his customers????? Get the dogs in the school parking lot checking cars, while the kids are in class. Bring lots of handcuffs and paddy wagons for when they come out of school. Have the dogs sniff all backpacks before they get on busses. Then bring the dogs to their homes( reasonable cause) and maybe the parents are the real criminals when a kid is on drugs.

Just reading that they smoke pills and realized that what I saw the other morning at wawa when I was barely awake at 6am gtettin coffee!! So now I see They bust a teen pot dealer who will get off and prob spent $50 K for the stakeout??? Get some unmarked cops in the areas ,stores, lakes ,parks these JUNKIES are everywhere in broad daylight. Come on Man!!!

I agree Jim, Saw a girl melting and smoking a pill on a piece of foil in Shop Rite parking lot, a few weeks later saw a boy rush out of CVS, couldnt even wait to get to car to ripe open RX bag,and began doing the same thing all while I was parked in the car next to him. For me to see this twice in a matter of a month surely indicates there is much more then a small issues with drugs in our town. To think then they are going to start their cars and get on the road, let them kill themselves in the privacy of their own homes and at least keep our streets safe!!!

NEED drug sniffing dogs in the high school The rest of the good kids have the right not to be subjected to illegal drugs ..

Truly need to monitored our schools more, those once known as the pot heads or stoners are now known as our student athletes,Honor Society students and all around good kids from good families.These kids need to know that weed is still illegal and should not be giving the opportunity to continue classes at St Pius at the taxpayer expense when they get caught, we already pay for their education once. Parents need to step up and take some responsibilty for their childrens actions and just maybe the kids will understand that the price isn't always cheap for their actions. This can hit any family and I pray my children never get caught up in it, but one never knows and my heart goes out to those parents and children who are struggling with any form of addition.

I*ve been saying this all along that Lacey is going down down down.. and Yes I*ve been here since 1980 and there was a drug problem then too but it was kept hush hush and now they are finally doing something about it. Its not fair to the kids in this town who are good kids to have to put up with this .. and I do think its a GREAT idea to have dogs sniffing cars and lockers ect while the kids are in school and not aware of it.. and also check the parents out too.. I*ve heard that alot of these kids smoke the dope with their parents and its disgusting ... and you wonder why these kids do it.. please Lacey police keep on doing what your doing buy hiding out where these kids dont see you and lock the whole bunch of them up.. its our town too and we want it safe for our little ones..

If they really want to crack down on the drug program, the Prosecutor's Office should put an 'undercover' in the high school.

Yesterdays APP had article about police with dogs going into Lakewood High School with drug sniffing dogs to help control their drug issues, no surprise they found nothing!!!! Why would they ever wait until 5:30 pm when all students are gone to go do a search ?Do they really think the kids are gonna leave the drugs in their lockers over night? What a complete waste of time and money for all departments involved.

THEY SHOULD STAKE OUT THE HOUSE BEHIND ME THE ONE WITH THE PEOPLE LIVING IN A CAMPER IN THE YARD AND THE 100 CARS PULLING UP STAYING A FEW MINS THEN LEAVING ON A DAILY BASIS WHAT DO YO THINK IS GOING ON????

How about we just legalize the stuff. This is stupid. We spend a ton more money monitoring a drug that causes far less trouble than Alcohol! When is the last time you heard of someone getting stoned and beating the crap out of their wife......NEVER! When is the last time you heard of a teen getting stones and choking on their puke.....NEVER! OK and when is the last time you heard of someone getting stones and fighting in a bar....NEVER!
