Trust me I won't back down. I know that this boy has done something he will regret for the rest of his life. That's good enough for me. And like you say, until you know all the facts, you will never know what really happend. Boys will be boys. But boys don't go to jail, men and women do. People make mistakes, thats a fact. Young boys and girls need guidance that's also a fact. Give him the guidance he needs, not jail.

All I am saying is that the punishment in this is far too harsh for the crimes. This should have went to a jury trial where all the facts could come out. If it had this young man would not be looking at 8 years in a state prison,, it would be more like 3-5 in a juvenile facility. If the facts in this situation had been allowed to play out most of you HATERS would be eating your harsh words. I do realize the victim has a family too,but the custodial unit has a lot of BLAME here. Either way there are numerous family members on both sides that are gonna be long suffering.
