June 15: Report Cards, Food Drive, Kite Flying

Events in and around Lacey Township

 

1. Fourth marking period report cards for the Lacey Township School District are available on the portal.

2. From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. a food drive will take place at Community Hall to support the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties in Neptune. The FoodBank is looking for non-perishable food only (no glass items). Suggested items: ready-to-eat canned meals, canned meat, canned tuna, canned fruits, canned vegetables, instant mashed potatoes, canned and dry soup, peanut butter, jelly, boxed rice, canned pork and beans, canned juices, sip-sized juices, hot or cold cereal and non-perishable milk. There will also be a collection bucket to make a financial contribution.

3. In honor of Global Wind Day, there will be a community kite-flying event at Island Beach State Park. Kite liftoff is at noon. Admission to the event and beach entrance fees for all participants Is free.

4. Tryouts for a 15 and under Lacey soccer team will take place at 6:00 p.m. at Hebrew Park. Email consifam@verizon.net for more information.

5. It’s Country Line Dancing Night at the Laurita Winery in New Egypt at 7 p.m. There will be dance lessons followed by dance and music request.
