Gov. Christie to Hold Lacey Town Hall Meeting

Gov. Chris Christie will be discussing his middle-class reform agenda and taking questions from local residents at 3 p.m. Thursday

Gov. Chris Christie will be holding a Town Hall meeting at the Lacey Elks Lodge at 3 p.m. Thursday, September 27.

“He will continue to urge the legislature to move forward on his middle-class reform agenda, a set of overdue reforms to deliver relief to New Jersey families,” a news release from Christie’s office said.

Christie will be discussing his middle-class reform agenda and take questions from local residents, the release says.

“The Governor’s proposed reforms will deliver direct, middle-class tax relief, lower the cost of government and the property tax burden, and make government more accountable and transparent to the people,” the news release says.

Doors to the Town Hall open at 2:15 p.m. The meeting is open to the public. Residents can RSVP by clicking here. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis.

The Lacey Elks Lodge is located at 900 Beach Boulevard in Forked River.

I'll be there with you, Uncle Moe. I think it's important to take the time off when an oppertunity like this presents itself. If they let me speak, you will know who I am as I will be talking about his "selected" investigations when he was the Federal Attorney, and all the info that was sent to his office from residents Ocean County about the mountains of corruption here that he nicely decided to ignore. Don't know if you folks know it or not, but the first person he thanked the night he was elected was "our boy" George Gilmore. His father is the Republican chairman in Waretown. I could go on and on, but does that explain why the corruption goes unchecked here in Ocean County? Our chubby friend is tied in as tight as can be. See you Thursday.

We have Christie, Obama, and a congress that feels enabled to spend and tax....why? because the electorate has been brain washed to vote thier party and never look at an independent and don't listen to anyone who isn't wearing a donkey or an elephant. Cute isn't it...a jackass and a slow large, stupid animal represent our governing parties....

Folks, Why do you think you find out about these "Town Hall" Christie ataboy meetings at the last second and on a work day?? So they can stack the meetings with his supporters and the working class can't dominate the meeting. Do you really think he can understand and debate what the economic conditions are like for the working class? He supports those who financially support him! He taxed ALL the families of teachers, firemen, police officers, DPW workers, all municipal employees, and state employees by diguising it with increased pension or medical contributions. Who does he think holds these jobs? The last time I checked it's mostly MIDDLE CLASS!! BUT....he absolutely will NOT raise taxes for the millionaires!! He can't take what the poor don't have! He is a typical rich politician and out of touch with the general public!

Ask yourself, do we ever hear from any of them when they are not tyring to get themselves or their cronies elected? Another thing I can't stand is these ignorant bigmouths referring to Social Security and medicare as "entitlements:, like they are welfare. They are NOT entitlements, they are pension benefits earned through a lifetime of work. Any politician whose mouth I hear that garbage out of will NEVER get my vote.

Atta boy Christie, keep the working class out that is trying to support a family in a state with almost 10% unemployment. It's totally awesome that less people will want to ask you about how your revenue predictions were WAY off and that's why you didn't want your millionaire tax breaks tied to them. Just like your press conference yesterday, just go ahead and bully people who ask questions you don't want to answer. Whatta guy!

The unemployment is high across the Country thanks to this Welfare President that is still blaming everyone else for this mess during his almost 4 yrs in office. A Clown of a President who will only go on TV for the Letterman Show and The View while turning a blind eye to the Americans who died in the middle east on 9/11. If he again uses his kids, his family as his excuse then How dare he take on the Responsibility of Chief Executive of a State and then short change public once he gets in. If you take the oath you have a responsibility to voters otherwise don't take the oath, you had a choice Christie !

jenny jones what exact medicare propaganda are you speaking of? fact is paul ryan as anyone can watch for themselves on c span when it came to voting ryan voted in favor of defense spending over programs like medicare. romney squawks about obama cutting $716 billion from medicare when that same amount of a cut is right in paul ryan's own budget. ryan also voted to eliminate meals on wheels for homebound seniors and transport for the disabled in favor of $600 toilet seats for the military. what loopholes will romney close? romney says he,ll tell you after the election. wait till those like jenny jones the tax loopholes that will be closed will be the mortgage interest deduction on her house or the deductions for her kids. romney is that guy on the side of the highway trying to sell you a new dvd player in a box that gullible people discover had only a brick in the box when they get home.

Huh? Who wants to steal anyones pension. We need to kill the pension system and stop forcing 95% of taxpayers to pay income and property taxes for someone else's retirement. If we stopped the pensions now, gave them all the money they put in back, we would have immediate tax relief.

Why can't we vote on who wants to pay for someone else's pension?? Where's our Democrat Assembly and Senate on this? Do you support tax relief or pensions for the few at the expense of the many?
