DiFabio, 18, was pronounced dead at his Forked River home on Tuesday. The circumstances surrounding his death have not been released.

Born in Toms River, DiFabio was a lifetime Lacey Township resident.
On Facebook, DiFabio has been remembered as a “sweetheart.” He was known for his smile and humor.
“It truly is heart breaking this happened and I'll never understand it. However, I do know you were one of the best guys I knew,” Nicole Giuliano said on his Facebook page. “Every time we were hanging, we were laughing. You always lit up the room and had the power to bring everyone else up around you. You will never be forgotten. You have touched a tremendous amount of hearts in this town and out.”
Counseling services have been held at the high school for students and parents since DiFabio’s death.
Surviving are his mother and father Beth and Jerry, his brother Anthony, maternal grandmother Doris Thornstrom and paternal grandparents Ann and Dino DiFabio.
Prior to the funeral services, there will be a gathering of family and friends at the Riggs Funeral Home at 3 p.m.
The Riggs Funeral Home is located at 130 Route 9 North in Forked River.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked for a donation to be made to the Lacey United Methodist Church. In the memo, write “Sandy Relief Fund.” The donations can be sent to P.O. Box 151, Forked River, NJ 08731.
Odd-It-Tees is donating t-shirts in memory of DiFabio. They can be purchased for $10. All proceeds will go to an organization of the DiFabio family’s choice.

Praying for the family and community that God will surround you with his love like a shield, and comfort you. "For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield." Ps. 5.12
