Latitudes on the River in Forked River will be hosting a Benefit for Hope on Friday, Nov. 30 from 7 to 11 p.m.
“Hurricane Sandy devastated the Jersey Shore community. Many of our friends and loved ones lost so much,” Laura Schoeneberg said. “Families are displaced, homes have been destroyed and the rebuilding process is slowly beginning. As power returns we are all struggling to find a sense of normalcy.”
The event will feature music, auction prizes, food and drinks.
“A cash bar and food will be available and lots of exciting prizes donated by our generous community will be auctioned off,” she said.
The Apple Pickers Union will be performing a mix of roots, rock and reggae music
Admission is $20 at the door, which includes tickets for use in the auction prizes.
Ticket funds and all proceeds will directly benefit local displaced families for necessary items such as cleaning supplies, baby supplies, gas cards, pre-packed meals, etc.
“This is a tough time for our beloved shore community. Please help us make a difference for those in need,” Schoeneberg said.
