Drug Activity Leads to 2 Arrests
Two women were observed in a local convenience store parking lot
Lacey detectives witnessed suspected drug activity in a local convenience store parking lot, leading to the arrest of two women.
Caitlin Sheeran, 23, of Lanoka Harbor and Samantha Sisler, 24, of Gloucester were occupants of separate cars and allegedly involved in the drug activity on Jan. 30.
Sheeran was found in possession of folds consistent with heroin packaging that was later found to be an imitation controlled substance, police said. She was arrested and charged with intent to distribute an imitation controlled dangerous substance in addition to an outstanding traffic warrant.
Sisler was allegedly in possession of muscle relaxants and 27 folds containing heroin. She was charged with possession of heroin and possession of a prescription legend drug.
Sheeran posted $500 bail for the outstanding warrant issued by the Lacey Municipal Court.
Both Sisler and Sheeran were released on their own recognizance pending a court appearance.

What is an imitation controlled substance, and if not real how can you get charged for it?

Always wondered about that myself. About 20 years ago, living in California, I got called for jury duty. Defendant was charged with selling a "substance in lieu of a narcotic". I told the judge that the defendant should be subjected to street justice instead of prison. Needless to say, I wasn't on that jury.

You should do a quick Google search. You can answer your own question with 2 seconds of your own research.

Its about time LPD is pulling these "Lacey" Drug kids in!
Within the last three years the drugs have gotten sooooo bad in Lacey.
The police know who the druggies are - lets finally put this serious issue in focus and do the right thing charging these kids before our younger generations get hooked! :(

Everyone has the right to a trial. They released her after she posted pail in order to obtain legal advice. Just because people make mistakes doesn't mean their rights as citizens are revoked.
