Doggie Derby Will Make You 'Paws'
The Rotary Club of Forked River held their first annual Doggie Derby
Over 100 dogs came out for the Rotary Club of Forked River's Doggie Derby in Lacey on Sunday, Oct. 2. Contests and demonstrations filled the afternoons activities. Vendors ringed the field with dog treats, veterinary care, and local causes. The US Park police demonstrated their bomb sniffing dog as well.

This was a great event, I hope they repeat it annually. And IMHO, the total count of dogs is woefully light I was there at the opening, and by 11:30, there were at least 100 dogs ahppily commingling with other.

it was great...great pet owners...great atmosphere and beautiful day...but did I miss the obstacle courses they said were going to be set up for the dogs to play on?? I also thought maybe more adoption agencies should have been present...great job overall cant wait for next year!
