Car Struck Route 9 Poles, Beachwood Man Arrested
JCP&L responded to Route 9 and Laurel Boulevard to secure and replace poles after they were struck by a motor vehicle
A Beachwood man was arrested after a motor vehicle accident that occurred during the early hours of Saturday morning, police said.
Michael Rockhill, 22, was arrested once police investigated an accident at the intersection of Route 9 and Laurel Boulevard.
Officers responded to the accident at 2 a.m. Saturday where a single car struck two utility poles, causing damage to both, police said.
Rockhill was not injured and refused medical treatment, police said.
He was arrested and charged for driving while under the influence of alcohol, police said. He was processed and released.
JCP&L responded to the scene to secure and replace the poles, police said.

well at least he wasn't injured ---- maybe next time he'll think about "what could have happened if he would have hit another car and killed somebody." I'm betting his insurance company will have something to say about the poles he damaged and the repair bill.
