1. The Alcoeur Gardens and the Memory Enhancement Center will be holding a free symposium on Alzheimer’s Disease at 9 a.m. at 1885 Highway 70 in Lakewood.

2. Park Naturalists will be guiding those interested on a historic paddle through the bay from 9 a.m. to noon at Island Beach State Park.

3. From 1 to 3 p.m., the Jacques Cousteau Coastal Education Center will be holding a Butterfly Bonanza. Learn about butterflies through crafts, activities and lectures.

4. It’s Pirate Day on Jenkinson’s Boardwalk in Point Pleasant. There will be pirate themed activities and entertainment for children and families from 3 to 7 p.m.

5. There’s a dog show at 5th and Broadway in Barnegat Light from 4 to 6 p.m.
