Alleged Hudson City Savings Bank Robber Turns Himself In
Blake Wood, 23, was sent to Ocean County Jail with bail set at $100,000
The Forked River man who allegedly robbed the Hudson City Savings Bank on Monday has turned himself in to police.
Police arrested Blake Wood, 23, at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in connection with the robbery of the bank located in the Lakeside Plaza on South Main Street, police said.
Wood allegedly entered the Lacey bank at 3 p.m. Monday and demanded cash from the teller, police Chief William Nally previously said. No weapon was displayed.
Police conducted an extensive search for Wood since Monday, issuing an arrest warrant on Wednesday.
Wood turned himself in at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Lacey Township Police Department.
Police declined to release the amount stolen from the bank.
Wood was sent to the Ocean County Jail with bail set at $100,000.
Wood was previously charged in June with shoplifting after he allegedly stole three computers totaling $1,293 from a Lacey store.

Love the assumptive, asinine comments the keyboard warriors leave under the veil of anonymity.

The sad part is I know this person and he has actually started a downward spiral. He needs help and maybe jail is just what he needs. I didnt know he stole from a store. It is sad that his life has turned to this. He was a cool kid but not very good role models

I did not know the extent of his addiction. Jail is the best choice to hopefully straighten him out. I hope everything works out for him. I will be praying for him

Jail doesn't 'help' anyone. Its graduate school for criminals. Hope he gets raped to shreds... he should grow a beard, its a nice handle for the ppl who will rape him to shreds.
