Prayers are sent!

Three helicopters did land in Bamber, sending prayers to the families involved.

People drive pretty crazy on that road !! I hope they are ok

I Live in Bamber Lake Just got home from work and Lacey road road is still blocked off west of Dover road...My prayers are with the families involved...

I feel a traffic light needs to b put at that intersection...people are driving well over 60mph. Also driving recklessly...and we need
more police patrol in our neck of the woods....the race starts from manchester and ends before the parkway entrance

People drive crazy and are impatient and try to pass using the oncoming lane....I was hit by a mack truck because someone was talking on a cell phone..my car was totaled but I managed to survive. I was driving safe but people are just foolish and rushing... I hate that road but am forced to use it to get to work. I pray everyone is alright...

Our thoughts and prayers go out to those involved and hope they are all OK. My wife and I were trying to make a left onto Newark Ave from Lacey Road west bound when the fire trucks and ambulances were flying to the scene of the accident. I understand that time is critical but the drivers of these emergency vehicles need to slow down when going through such a busy area as this during rush hour. There was no place for anyone to move, including my wife and I who were stuck out there in the left turn lane. That area is crazy enough at 4:30 PM and on without the fire trucks rolling through with horns and sirens blazing. Fortunately there was no other accident caused during this but if there were then no one is getting any help fast. We appreciate everything our first responders do but for everyone’s safety, please consider the environment when rushing to the scene. Thank You.

I was also one of the first non responder on scene, just after it happened. It was the most helpless situation I have ever been in. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims families.

I agree about those reckless emergency responders..As soon as Those lights go on they care about no one else on the road

I too live in Bamber and was on my way home and was there before emergency vehicles.. what a terrible scene and I hope all are ok.

As a first responder I just want to say that if it were your loved ones in those vehicles you would not care how fast I was driving my emergency vehicle because it would not be fast enough....with that being said critically ill or injured patients have what we call the "golden hour". Which means if they are transported and treatment is begun with in that hour their chance of survival is greater...in a serious car accident that golden hour dwindles away very quickly because people are very often trapped and need to be extricated as in the case of this accident with all three patients. As first responders we are trained to drives those vehicles with lights and sirens. The don't just hand you keys and say have at it....we don't jump in an ambulance and get excited because we get to drive fast and go through lights we focused on getting safely to our patients to save their lives. We depend on the public around us to follow the rules and pull over or out of our way. More often than not....they don't. Some don't even pay attention to use. Just and FYI. Most accidents that involve first responder vehicles are not cause by the driver of the responding vehicle. It's cause by the person driving their own car.......

I agree when you hear it, when you see it "MOVE!" there's plenty of time and put yourself in the other person's shoes as you complain, you would want the firetruck or ambulance to have the ability to spread wings and fly like an f14 and that wouldn't be quick enough for you! Also have respect for our officers, move over just a bit when you see them on the side of the road. They give up so much to do for us, when we need them. Including jumping out of their comfy warm slumber to race to your need, or leave in the middle of a family holiday meal. I am a proud parent of a first responder, and support all those who volunteer and give so much. I just want to say "THANK YOU"

its true most people you see are clueless as to what to do if an emergency vehicle is behind them or is going to cross their path. most of them are on cell phones and dont give way to the flashing lights behind them. maybe someday it might be a member of their family in an ambulance behind someone who is too stupid to pull over and let it pass.

Two of these women are my family members and I would like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to every single person who helped them. You are all truly incredible people for all that you do & things are going as well as they are because of you. Thank you, thank you, thank you! And to the person complaining about the ambulance driving too fast.....really? I know it's a bit hectic when they are so loud & you aren't sure where they are coming from & whatever but, seriously, don't complain....it could be you in our shoes one day.

This is why Old people need to be retested from 65 and up yearly for a drivers lic. They cause accidents and bitch about the people rushing to help them! You dont like it, get off the road!

Go !! Go as fast as you can . But give us all a brake when it's 5:30am or 11 at night and your blasting your sirens for a BS call throu Lacey there's no need for it your not that cool. As a former volunteer I can pitcher the seen I hope all recover well

@laceygirl and Ashley. Glad to hear they are doing well. I will take that back to my squad members who were on the scene to help them. It's nice to know how your patients are doing after you transfer their care. I couldn't be happier to hear!
