Vote-By-Mail Ballot Available at Southern Service Center
Registered voters living in southern Ocean County can obtain a Vote-By-Mail Ballot for the upcoming Nov. 6 General Election by visiting the Ocean County Clerk's Office at the Ocean County Southern Service Center, 179 South Main Street, here.
"We are pleased to offer a convenient way for the registered voters of southern Ocean County to acquire a Vote-By-Mail Ballot at our office in Stafford Township," said Ocean County Clerk Scott M. Colabella. "This center allows for easier access to some of the programs and services provided by the Office of the Ocean County Clerk and the Vote-By-Mail ballot is something we are pleased to offer at this site."
Voters residing in the six communities on Long Beach Island as well as the municipalities of Barnegat, Eagleswood, Lacey, Little Egg Harbor, Ocean (Waretown), Stafford and Tuckerton are invited to visit the Ocean County Clerk's office in Stafford to pick up their ballot and to access the other services provided at the center.
"The Ocean County Clerk has a full time staff member assigned to assist residents at the Ocean County Southern Services Center," said Freeholder John P. Kelly, Director of Law and Public Safety and liaison to the Ocean County Clerk. "This service along with other programs for seniors and veterans can now be more easily accessed by the many residents of southern Ocean County. I encourage our residents to use this conveniently located center."
The Ocean County Clerk's Office at the Ocean County Southern Service Center is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. Telephone inquiries can be made by calling 609-597-1500 and 24-hour access to the clerk's office is available at the office's website at www.oceancountyclerk.com.
Colabella noted the deadline to register to vote for the Nov. 6 election is Tuesday, Oct. 16. For additional information on registering residents can contact the Ocean County Board of Elections at 1-800-452-5254.
The Vote-By-Mail Ballots will be available to eligible voters at the Southern Service Center from now until Tuesday, Oct. 30. After Oct. 30, all registered voters requesting a Vote-By-Mail Ballot will be required to apply in-person at the Ocean County Clerk's Office located in the Ocean County Courthouse, 118 Washington Street, Toms River. The final deadline to receive Vote-By-Mail ballots at the Toms River location will be 3 p.m., Nov. 5.
