On Tuesday, June 14, 2011 the Business and Professional Women of Southern 

Ocean County hosted their Scholarship Awards Dinner and Installation of New 

Officers at Kristy's Casual Dining, Route 9 in Waretown.  The group meets at Kristy's 

on the second Tuesday of every month.   Scholarship Awards were presented by 

Cyndy Friedland, (the outgoing President), to Maria Pipitone and Diane Mattia.  Maria

and Diane are attending college and working towards Bachelors and Masters 

Degrees in Social Services and English.  BPWSOC awards Scholarships on an 

annual basis. Our website, www.BPWSOC.org, has information pertaining to 

membership, scholarships and events hosted by the organization.
Cyndy Friedland installed the new officers for the organization's 2011/2012 calendar 

year:  Penny Miller of Mary Kay in Manahawkin, President; Lisa Gambino of A2Z 

Computer Help, Vice President; Mary Baldelli of Pathways Massage & Bodywork, 

Treasurer and Rosalind Silletto of Rosalind's Travel In Style, Jackson, Secretary. 
These dynamic women have been with BPWSOC for several years dedicating their 

time and service in capacities as officers in prior years, volunteering for fund raising 

events and maintaining our website.  Each officer has their own business and 

contributes their knowledge and expertise at meetings to fellow members.
The meeting was presided over by 2010/2011 President, Cyndy Friedland (recently 

installed as Vice President for Business and Professional Women of New Jersey).
